At Revolution Road , we use a simple, effective, 4-step process when sodding a lawn:

• Step 1 – Evaluating the Landscaping

• Before any sodding begins, we carry out careful evaluations of the project area. This crucial step may be missed by less diligent landscapers, but it allows us to save time down the road and ensure our famously high-quality, by removing any weeds or grubs, checking the soil, and taking careful measurements.

• Step 2 – Removing the Old Sod

• The process of removing your old sod should be a careful one. If and when we’re working with existing soil, we’re sure to use high-quality fertilizer that will leave the soil ready for further sod installation.

• Step 3 – Installing the New Sod

• Sod installation begins with a roller, to even out the existing soil. Next, we meticulously lay the new grass sod, with extra attention paid to details around the edges. We even trim the lawn so as to avoid disturbing desired elements such as flower beds or trees, and to ensure a gorgeous finish.

• Step 4 – Levelling the New Grass

• Once the installation is complete, we don’t just walk away. We do a final, thorough pass with a roller to level the new sod, ensuring healthy growth by allowing grass roots to sink into the soil. This process will also act as insurance for your lawn’s long-term health by preventing the future growth of weeds.
